A list of wishes your friends can actually use
When friends ask what you would like, a wish list answers once for everyone. Add each wish with a title, a link to the shop, a price, a note on size or colour and a picture, then send a single link to the family chat or to friends.
Each friend opens the list and taps I'll give this on one gift. From then on that gift is crossed out for everyone else, so two people never buy the same headphones. Whoever chose it can take it back later if their plans change.
The surprise stays a surprise: you, the author, never see who chose what. Your own view of the list shows no names and no crossed-out gifts, even when you open the link yourself.
How to make a wish list
Add your wishes, then sign in to get the link.
Write a title and a few words for your friends, and choose the background and button colour.
Add your wishes one by one: a title, a shop link, a price, a note on size, colour or model, and a picture from your device. Reorder them with the arrows.
Choose who can mark a gift: anyone with the link by name, or only signed-in friends. Sign in, create the link and send it.
What it does
Everything a gift list needs, nothing that spoils it.
- Up to 60 wishes with title, price, note and picture
- A link to the shop for every wish
- Friends mark a gift with their name or their account
- Taken gifts are crossed out for other friends
- You never see who gives what, or which gifts are taken
- A friend can take back their own choice
- Your own background, text and button colours
- Edit the list at any time; the link stays the same
Where people use it
Any occasion where people ask what to give.
A birthday list for the family chat, so grandparents and cousins do not buy the same thing.
A child's list for New Year, shared with the parents of their friends.
A wedding or housewarming list where only signed-in guests can mark gifts.
A baby shower list with sizes in the notes.
A team collecting for a colleague's farewell, choosing from the list together.
A Secret Santa exchange where each person shares their own small list.
How choices stay hidden from you
Choices are stored on the server and never sent to your browser while you are signed in as the author. When a friend opens the list, the server marks which gifts are already taken and which one is theirs, and sends only that.
Friends who mark gifts by name are recognised by a random code kept in their browser, so they can take back their choice from the same device. With account-only marking, the choice belongs to their Roliq account.
Good to know
You need an account to create a wish list, so you can edit or delete it later. Your list stays in this browser while you sign in.
Pictures can be JPG, PNG, WebP or GIF up to 2 MB, and links must start with https. Roliq does not track prices or stock in other shops.
Wish list pages are not shown in search results. Anyone with the link can open the list, so do not put an address or anything private in it.
Tips
- Add a size, colour or model in the note so nobody has to ask.
- Mix prices, so everyone can find something that suits them.
- Keep the list current: remove what you already have, and the link stays the same.
Wish list questions
Will I see who is giving what?
No. The author never sees names or crossed-out gifts, even when opening their own link.
Can two friends choose the same gift?
No. Once one friend marks a gift, it is crossed out for everyone else.
Can a friend change their mind?
Yes. On the same device or account they can take their choice back, and the gift is free again.
Do friends need an account?
Only if you choose so. By default they type a name; you can require signing in.
Can I edit the list after sharing it?
Yes. Edit it from your list of wish lists; the link stays the same and choices stay on their gifts.
Is the wish list free?
No. Making wish lists and links is free; you only need an account.
