No more four pies and no salad
A potluck works when everyone knows what is already coming. A group chat full of “I'll bring something sweet” does not tell you that.
Here you list the dishes your table needs, by course, and say how many people bring each: one turkey, two pies, three bottles of cider. Guests open the link, type their name and tap the dish they'll bring.
Everyone, the host included, sees who brings what, and a bar shows how much of the menu is covered.
How to run the list
Start from the Friendsgiving menu or write your own.
List the dishes by course, say how many people bring each one, and add your own name to what you are cooking.
Sign in, create the link and send it to your guests.
Guests tap what they'll bring; everyone sees who brings what and what is still missing.
What the list does
Made for a shared table, not a gift list.
- Up to 40 dishes in six courses: mains, sides, salads, desserts, drinks and everything else
- One to ten people per dish, with the places left shown
- Names next to every dish, visible to all guests and the host
- Guests can add up to three dishes of their own, if you allow it
- A bar showing how much of the menu is covered
- Guests sign up with a name; only the host needs an account
- Close sign-ups when the menu is settled
- Background and colours to match the party
Popular for
Any meal where everyone brings a plate.
Friendsgiving and Thanksgiving dinners.
Office holiday lunches and team potlucks.
Christmas Eve with the whole family.
Picnics, barbecues and birthday parties.
Church, school and club suppers.
How sign-ups work
A guest types a name once and taps a dish. The dish shows their name at once for everyone, and its place count goes down; when no places are left, it is marked covered.
Each person signs up for a dish only once and can take it back. Nobody can remove someone else's name; the host can close sign-ups or change the list.
Good to know
Making the link needs a free account; guests only type their name.
Names are visible to everyone with the link, so share it with your guests only.
The list holds up to 40 dishes and 500 sign-ups.
Tips for a smooth potluck
- Put your own name on the dishes you cook before sending the link.
- Give popular courses more places: three desserts beat one.
- Add a note such as “gluten free, please” to dishes that need it.
Potluck sign-up questions
Do guests need an account to sign up for a dish?
No. They type their name and tap the dish; only the host signs in to make the link.
Can two people bring the same dish?
Yes. Set how many people bring each dish, from one to ten.
Can guests see who brings what?
Yes. Every dish shows the names of the people bringing it, for everyone with the link.
Can a guest change their mind?
Yes. They tap “Not me after all” and the place opens again.
Is there a Thanksgiving menu to start from?
Yes. The English list starts with a Friendsgiving menu you can edit.
