What should I eat? Spin the food wheel

Twelve dinner ideas to start with; swap in your own favourites.

12

Ten minutes of "I don't mind, what do you want?" is how most dinners start. The wheel ends it: twelve ordinary dinner ideas, one spin, and the decision belongs to the wheel rather than to whoever gave in.

The list is a starting point. Replace it with the takeaways near you, the recipes you actually cook or the places on your office's lunch rota, and the wheel keeps your version in this browser.

A food wheel that fits your week

After each spin, press Remove from the wheel in the result pop-up, and yesterday's dinner cannot come up again until you restore it. Give a favourite a higher weight so it comes up more often, or a lower one for the expensive place you only want now and then.

Save the list under a name such as Weeknight dinners or Lunch near the office, and open it again from My lists next time instead of typing it out.

Deciding as a group

For a team lunch or a family with five opinions, let everyone add one idea before you spin. In a shared room each guest can add their suggestion from their own phone, and the spin happens where everyone can watch it.

Food wheel questions

Can I put my own restaurants on it?

Yes. Edit the list and type one restaurant or dish per line; the wheel redraws as you type and remembers the list in this browser.

How do I stop the same dish coming up twice?

Remove it after it wins, with the button in the result pop-up. It stays off the wheel until you press Restore all.

Can I make healthy options more likely?

Yes. Raise their weight in the options list; the chance of every option is shown next to it.
