Will you be my Valentine? A page where No runs away

“Will you be my Valentine?” as a link for 14 February: a red and pink page where the No button runs away and Yes grows with every try. After Yes comes your message, a photo or the plan for the evening.

14 February

The Valentine question, with only one answer

Every February the same little web page goes around: “Will you be my Valentine?”, a Yes button and a No button that will not let itself be pressed. This is that page, ready in two minutes, with your own words and colours.

The No button jumps away from the finger or the mouse, Yes grows each time, and after Yes comes what you wrote: a message, a photo, a link or a plan for the evening of the 14th.

How to send a Valentine link

Two minutes before the 14th, or on the morning itself.

  1. Keep “Will you be my Valentine?” or write your own question, then the words after Yes.

  2. Sign in and create the Valentine link.

  3. Send it in the chat on 14 February and wait for the screenshot of Yes.

What the Valentine page does

The runaway-No builder, dressed in red and pink for the 14th.

  • A ready Valentine question and an answer after Yes
  • Red and pink colours that can all be changed
  • Four ways for No to escape, from running to shrinking
  • A message, a photo or a link after Yes
  • An optional plan for the evening: a day, a time and an idea

Who sends it

Anyone with a Valentine in mind.

A first Valentine's Day after a few dates.

A couple living in two cities.

A long relationship that still likes a joke.

A crush you finally want to ask.

What happens after you send it

The Valentine page is saved to your account and opens for anyone with the link; you see when it was opened and when Yes was pressed.

The Valentine draft is kept apart from your other question pages until you create the link.

Before the 14th

Creating a Valentine link needs a free account; opening it needs nothing.

It is a playful question: in real life a no still means no.

Valentine tips

  • Send it in the morning, so the screenshot arrives before the evening plans.
  • Put the place and time of the date after Yes, so the answer turns straight into a plan.

Valentine page questions

Is the Valentine link free?

Yes. Making it needs a free account, and the person who opens it needs nothing at all.

Can they press No on a phone?

No. On a touch screen the button jumps away as soon as a finger comes close, and Yes keeps growing.

Can I ask a boy to be my Valentine?

Of course. The question is yours to write, and the colours can be changed to anything.

Do I see the answer?

Yes. Your page list shows when the link was opened and when Yes was pressed.
