Make a coupon book and send it by link

A coupon book you write yourself: small promises like breakfast in bed or “you pick the film”, each on its own ticket, sent as one link. The person you made it for uses a coupon when they want it, adds a word about when, and you get an email.

Small promises, kept on paper that never gets lost

A coupon book turns promises into something you can hold: “breakfast in bed”, “you choose the film”, “one evening without the dishes”. Write each one on its own ticket, add the small print if there is any, and send the whole book as a single link.

The person you made it for keeps the link and uses a coupon whenever they like. They tap it, add a word such as “Saturday morning?”, and the coupon gets a stamp with today's date. You get an email saying which coupon was used, so the promise does not slip your mind.

Paper coupons get lost in a drawer. These stay on the phone, show what has already been used and what is still waiting, and can carry a last day if the promise has a deadline.

How to make a coupon book

Write the coupons first; sign in when you are ready to send them.

  1. Give the book a heading and a line of text, then pick a background and the colour of the tickets.

  2. Add your coupons: what each one gives, the small print such as “weekends only”, and a photo if you have one. Arrange them with the arrows.

  3. Set a last day if the coupons should expire, sign in, create the link and send it in a message or a card.

What it does

A paper coupon book, minus the drawer it gets lost in.

  • Up to 24 coupons, each with a title, small print and a picture
  • One link for the whole book
  • A coupon is used once and gets a dated stamp
  • An optional note from them: when, where, how
  • An email to you every time a coupon is used
  • An undo for a coupon tapped by mistake
  • An optional last day for the whole book
  • Your dashboard lists what has been used and what is left

Where people use it

Gifts that are about time together rather than things.

An anniversary book with a year's worth of dates, valid until the next anniversary.

A Valentine's present when the best gift is a promise: a massage, a dinner, a lazy Sunday.

Mother's Day coupons from the kids: “I tidy my room without being asked”, “breakfast made by us”.

A birthday present for a friend who has everything: concert company, a road trip, a cooking lesson.

A child's reward book: thirty minutes more screen time, choosing dinner, a trip to the playground.

How a coupon gets used

Using a coupon asks for confirmation first, so a stray tap does nothing. Once confirmed, the server records it and every visitor sees the stamp with the date; a coupon cannot be used a second time.

Whoever used a coupon can undo it from the same phone or browser, which is enough for a mistaken tap. The note they leave is shown only to you and to them, never to anyone else who opens the link.

Good to know

You need an account to create a coupon book; that is also where the emails go. You cannot use the coupons in your own book.

Anyone who has the link can use a coupon, so send it only to the person it is meant for. Coupon pages are not shown in search results.

A coupon removed from the book disappears together with its stamp. Pictures can be JPG, PNG, WebP or GIF up to 2 MB.

Tips

  • Write the small print you would actually hold them to: “not on a weeknight” saves an argument later.
  • Mix tiny promises with one big one, so there is always something easy to use.
  • Give the book a last day for promises with a season, such as summer picnics or ski weekends.

Coupon book questions

Can a coupon be used twice?

No. A used coupon carries a dated stamp for everyone. Whoever used it can undo that from the same device, and then it is available again.

How do I know a coupon was used?

You get an email with the coupon's name and their note, if they left one. Your dashboard lists every used coupon with its date.

Do the coupons expire?

Only if you set a last day. After it the coupons can no longer be used and the book says so; the last day itself still counts, wherever in the world the person is.

Can I add coupons after sending the link?

Yes. Edit the book from your coupon books; the link stays the same and used coupons keep their stamps.

Can they write me a message with a coupon?

Yes, a short note of up to 200 characters when they use it. Only you and they can read it.

Is the coupon book free?

Yes. Making coupon books and links costs nothing; you only need an account.
